The university eliminated the use of glycol in our geothermal systems once we determined that the system temperatures were sufficient to sustain proper and efficient operation of the equipment using water instead.
A brief description of how the institution safely disposes of hazardous, universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:
The university recycles oil, crushes our own light bulbs, and reclaims refrigerants.
