A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Transylvania University has been on the cutting edge of utilizing thin clients in classrooms and computer labs across campus. This practice has multiple benefits relating to sustainability, including:
1. Thin clients use less electricity.
2. Over time, thin clients cost less to purchase and maintain.
3. The use of thin clients reduces the university's electronic/hazardous waste load because they are smaller with no moving parts and need to be replaced less frequently than a desktop.
