Questions were selected to cover knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors on a variety of sustainability-related topics. There were also general questions about sustainability.

A random sample of 200 students was selected. A similar survey was administered to a random sample of faculty and staff.

One of the most shocking results was that students didn't understand the hierarchy of reduce, reuse, recycle. They thought they were all equally positive actions. (This held true for faculty and staff as well.)
