A brief description of the employee wellness program, policy, or practice:

The Towson University Wellness Center provides quality educational experiences and learning opportunities for students seeking careers in the health professions. Additionally, the Wellness Center is dedicated to promoting health awareness and enhancing the quality of life for Towson University employees and physician-referred participants.

The Wellness and Clinical Fitness programs at the Wellness Center focus on overall health and disease prevention. Exercise specialists work with Wellness Center members to create safe and effective exercise prescriptions. The LIFEWORx Medical Fitness program includes those individuals diagnosed with heart disease, pulmonary disease, diabetes, obesity, cancer and other chronic conditions. Towson University students receive hands-on experience working with a diverse population, allowing students to enhance their skills in preparation for graduate studies or a career in an exercise or wellness field.
