In late July 2012, WorkplaceDynamics LLP, a private survey administrator
for the Baltimore Sun’s Top Workplaces Survey, notified the Office of the President
and the Office of Human Resources that anonymous Towson University employees nominated the institution as a top workplace. The company proposed a survey to use
employee opinions to measure two parts of the workplace:
1) organizational health or whether the company is likely to succeed in the long-­‐term and has a clear sense of direction and
2) “my job” or how an employees feel about theirday-­‐to-­‐day job, compensation, work/life balance, development opportunities.

The President will be distributing a Faculty and Staff Campus Climate Survey
to all faculty and staff members during the 2013 spring semester.
We hope to have a high response rate that will allow us to ascertain vital information that can be utilized to inform TU’s next Diversity Action Plan.
