Not formally, and it depends on the department and college. In some cases it could be a net negative. However, overall, I think as long as one is productive these considerations are a wash.
This is something the education subcommittee could look into and even propose some guideline policies to get more Deans aware of the importance of it. I think that it is something Pres. Loeschke supports.
