A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the inventory:
In 2011 the Office of Sustainability administered a Survey to identify how sustainabiliy is incorporated into its classes. Among the 349 faculty members out of 1644 who participated in this survey, including full-time professors, part-time professors and lecturers, approximately 51% of those respondents reported touching upon the topic of sustainability in their classes. Of that 51%, on average, 15% discuss sustainability very frequently, 28% frequently, 48% occasionally, and 9% rarely. Many of our professors teach more than one course which touches upon this topic. Faculty within all colleges, the College of Business and Economics, Education, Fine Arts and Communication, Health Professions, Liberal Arts, and the College of Science and Mathematics, reported touching on sustainability in their classes.
