Offered as a part of the ‘Work Life’ initiative with Human Resources, Wellbeing at Work comprises a number of resources designed to help employees in their personal and professional lives. Resources include: Employee and Family Assistance Program: The Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) is a confidential and voluntary support service that can help with many kinds of problems and challenges in your life. The program is administered by Shepell and services are entirely anonymous. Workplace Wellbeing Services: This department within Human Resources provides information, guidance and support regarding short or long term sick leave and accommodation plans for employees with disabilities. Contact them for more information. Workshops to Support Wellbeing: Ryerson’s Workplace Wellbeing Services team offers workshops and events to faculty and staff on an ongoing basis, both in support of wellness and to invite conversation about mental health and wellbeing. Centre for Student Development and Counselling - The CSDC offers free, confidential counselling services for students in a professional and friendly environment. Services are provided by our team of psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists and counselling interns. Services, programs and resources are intended to assist students not only to solve immediate problems, but also to define their personal, educational and career goals, and to acquire the self-confidence and transferable skills necessary for professional success and individual growth. They provide these services on a one-to-one basis or in a group format. Student Health Assistance & Resilience Peer Program (SHARPP) - A peer support program designed to help students develop lifelong skills for managing their health and well-being. SHARPP was designed to assist students develop lifelong skills for managing their health and well-being. With unlimited 1 to 1 virtual or person meetings, personalized wellness plans and guidance, SHARPP ambassadors support and empower students to make healthy lifestyle changes that will help them overcome the barriers to success that exist in a post-secondary environment.

Smoking/vaping any substance (tobacco, cannabis) inside Toronto Metropolitan University buildings, including residences, and smoking and vaping within nine metres of building entrances and exits is prohibited, as per the Smoke Free Ontario Act and TMU's Smoking and Vaping Policy.
