A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :
Over three years, the main professional development event available to all staff has focused primarily on issues to do with socail sustainability, including inclusiveness, diversity, equity, gender/transgender issues, civility, kindness, mental health, Aboriginal experiences, bullying and harassment, respectfullness, cultural differences, and mindfullness. The issue of effectively using technology to promote environmental sustainability was also presented at last year's session.

Total headcount of all TRU staff is 661. This was arived at by subtracting the total of all faculty members (620, from TRU Faculty Assoc.) by the total headcount of all TRU employees (1281). The number of staff who attended the main staff development session in February 2013 was 350 (from Debbie McNichol, TRU HR Dept.).
