All TRU staff, and faculty, with the exception of administrators are covered by collective bargaining agreements with their respective unions. Employees of contractors on campus are required to comply with all applicable provincial and federal labour laws. The lowest annualized salary for a TRU employee is $35,235. Statistics Canada’s Low Income Cut-off for 2009 for cities of Kamloops’ size is $19,144, well below the lowest salary offered by TRU.
