A brief description of the event(s):
TRU’s Office of Environment & Sustainability has hosted an Environmental Speakers Series for its sustainability month. Speakers included in this series included Jim Hoggan, author of “Climate Cover-Up: The Crusade to Deny Global Warming,” Steven Mannel, founding director of Dalhousie’s College of Sustainability, Peter Victor, author of “Managing without Growth. Slower by Design, not Disaster,” and Michael Mehta, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Thompson Rivers University, a sociologist specializing in science and technology in society. In addition TRU’s Faculty of Science hosts an Environmental Sciences seminar series in the fall and winter semesters.
