There was an Equal Opportunity Review completed by the core Human Resources office; the Salary Placement Equity Tool (SPET) is used for every hire; yearly Mass Salary Updates (MSU) and Salary Placement Reviews (SPR) are used to address pay disparities and are used very frequently.

The State of New Mexico requires that contractors and subcontractors must pay a predetermined prevailing wage, that is reevaluated annually. Per New Mexico State Statute 13-4-13-1-1 (Code § 11.1.2.17) all construction projects done through a public agency that are >$60,000 are considered public works projects and must pay prevailing wage and report wages to the Department of Workforce Solutions. The University of New Mexico (UNM) requires contractors doing business with the university must make a good faith effort to ensure that they and their subcontractors adhere to state wage laws. However, we do not currently have the data to pursue this credit.
