The Student Union Building's (SUB) facilities are available for use by chartered student organizations, UNM Departments, and community organizations. Features of the SUB include 20 meeting rooms of different sizes and setups, professional catering service, a full-service audio-visual department, and more.
The UNM South Campus Science & Technology Park (STP) hosts a variety of business meetings in its Executive Board Room, Auditorium, and Rotunda that are publicly accessible.
UNM Continuing Education offers a large conference center with a 650-seat auditorium, event and classroom space that outside entities can rent.

The UNM Children’s Campus for Early Care and Education (UNMCC) is supported by student fees and is under the umbrella of UNM Student Affairs. This program is also supported by various State and Federal grants. The Children’s Campus provides the children of UNM’s student, staff and faculty parents with a high-quality early childhood experience.
The Lobo Food Pantry is free to currently enrolled UNM students.
UNM’s Health Sciences Center staffs medical clinics around the city that also provide financial assistance.

UNM Main Campus has 6 museums, many of which are free to the public. These include the Geology Museum in Northrop Hall, the Greenhouse Conservatory in Castetter Hall, the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology, the Meteorite Museum, the University Art Museum, and the Museum of Southwest Biology (the only one that requires an appointment to access).
All UNM libraries are open to the public with a valid, government or school-issued photo identification. Community borrowers can get their own UNM library card and everyone is welcome to use collections in the library buildings. There are community computers for visitors to use. Popejoy Hall is the largest cultural performance venue in the state. Popejoy Presents is Popejoy Hall's signature series of live performances including touring Broadway shows, concerts, theater, world-renowned ballet and modern dance companies, and noted speakers from a broad spectrum of disciplines. Recreational Services Department of the University of New Mexico provides a wide variety of opportunities to enhance the educational, recreational, and cultural experiences for a diverse University community. Johnson Gym and its associated pools, weight room, indoor track, and athletic courts, is free to UNM students, faculty and staff. UNM alumnus, spouses, dependents, or affiliates--including sports club coaches or managers--can purchase a low-cost Rec Card to access the facilities. https://recservices.unm.edu
