Narrative outlining how sustainability information is integrated into new student orientation or the equivalent:

New Student Orientation (NSO) orients new UNM students to services and resources, including those related to the health, wellbeing, and equity aspects of sustainability. New students are provided an overview of the student resource centers and assistance programs (e.g., Student Health & Counseling, Center for Teaching and Learning, the Accessibility Resource Center, support networks, financial aid), and students physically visit the ethnic and resource centers (e.g., El Centro de la Raza, LGBTQ+ Resource Center, Women’s Resource Center) during their campus tours. Materials are also provided on student support services and resource centers, such as resource bags with pamphlets and information that include academic sustainability and student services information. Tabling events like the “Discover UNM Fair” for new students have 70 different programs and organizations that cover sustainability-related academic, social, and wellbeing services. In addition, all new students go through a sexual misconduct prevention training, called "the Grey Area." A sense of belonging is emphasized throughout NSO, welcoming all new Lobos to the pack.

Yes

Description of the institution’s sustainability dashboards and/or signage:

A dashboard is included on the Sustainability website, along with an energy performance and greenhouse gas emissions dashboard. In the Student Union Building by a main entrance, there is a monitor that provides real-time data on solar energy generation on campus. Digital signage in the Student Union Building and other university buildings displays information about sustainability-related events and highlights.

Yes

The Office of Sustainability has an Instagram site and Facebook page, located at @unmsustainability; academic programs can be followed via @unmsust. Some of the Sustainability Studies students have developed podcasts or video series, and the Local Food Systems Practicum maintains a blog, ABQ Stew
