A brief description of the institution’s program to support employee volunteering:
The university encourages staff and faculty to participate in community service activities organized by the university during work hours, for example large single day service events in the fall and spring. The university also organizes an annual community benefit campaign for employees and retirees to support statewide nonprofit organizations that make a difference in the lives of Ohioans called Buckeyes for Charity. Further, the university’s Office of Service-Learning supports sustainable community-engaged and service-learning courses and community-based scholarship to foster ongoing collaboration with local and global communities.
Beyond employees, the Ohio State Alumni Association coordinates alumni community service events and opportunities.
