A brief description of the graduate-level degree program:
The Master of Environment and Natural Resources (MENR) is a 36-credit hour applied graduate degree for practicing professionals and others who want to enhance their professional competency in environmental and natural resource science and management. This highly flexible degree allows students to tailor a curriculum around their desired career focus. Graduates of the MENR have found employment in a variety of positions, including private sector administration and consulting, as well as public sector employment at the local, state, and federal level, including the Ohio EPA, US Forest Service, and the US Department of State.

A brief description of the graduate degree program (3rd program):
The Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization (GIS) in Data-driven Sustainable Energy Systems provides graduate students with interdisciplinary training in energy-system modeling, data science, energy policy, business, law, social and behavioral sciences, and energy technologies.
• Students with an interest in sustainable energy will develop their data-analytic and computational skills, along with a holistic understanding of economics, business, finance policy, social impacts, and law as it relates to sustainable, distributed, and digitized energy systems.
• Students will strengthen their communication skills through experiential-learning encounters and develop the ability to innovate, be adaptive, and design forward-thinking solutions to sustainable energy problems.
• Students with an interest in sustainable energy will develop their data-analytic and computational skills, along with a holistic understanding of economics, business, finance policy, social impacts, and law as it relates to sustainable, distributed, and digitized energy systems.

The Certificate in Environmental Assessment is a 12-credit program to prepare current and future professionals in the fundamental of environmental assessment, which is the assessment of the environmental consequences of a plan, policy, program, or actual projects prior to the decision to move forward with the proposed action. Environmental assessment is a tool for decision-makers in the United States and around the world, and this field of professional practice is ubiquitous in the development and sustainability fields in which countries and international financial institutions participate worldwide.
