Do the figures reported above cover one, two, or three academic years?:
One

A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :

Academic units were asked to self-report sustainability content via 2 university-wide surveys during 2019-2021. The course level survey provided instructions on how to identify primary vs. secondary sustainability content in courses and used a six-dimensions framework to identify sustainability (human-natural systems, earth and environmental systems, economy, governance, and sustainability, society, culture, and sustainability, sustainable engineering, technology, and design, and health, well-being and sustainability. Courses with a “P” reported in at least one dimension (primary) were considered sustainability-focused courses. Courses with a “S” in at least one dimension (secondary) were considered sustainability-inclusive courses. These surveys were conducted and completed at the undergraduate level for 2020-2021. The graduate/professional level review using this methodology is forthcoming, so the course data for that level reflects the methodology previously used for the university’s 2018 STARS reported data: the full course listing was evaluated first by conducting a comprehensive word search using 195 keywords that relate to any environmental, economic, or social component of sustainability as defined by the Earth Charter. The courses identified through the keyword search were evaluated further according to AASHE STARS criteria for sustainability-focused courses and sustainability-inclusive courses.

How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections

A brief description of how courses with multiple offerings or sections were counted:

If a course was cross-listed between departments, it was only counted one time.
