Ohio State offers many personal and professional development opportunities to its staff. Ohio State sees sustainability holistically and understands the value of a healthy environment and workplace. Development opportunities range from personal health incentives to free tuition for classes at the university. These activities not only build a more sustainable campus but also provide sustainability education opportunities to employees through the periodic integration of sustainability lessons. For example, Ohio State hosts an annual “Amazing Race to Wellness”. Teams are challenged to complete tasks based around the nine dimensions of wellness using problem solving and team cooperation skills while engaging in light physical activity.
