Ohio State aims to be carbon neutral by 2050 through the employment of a combined heat and power plant, regional chiller plants and new technologies as they are developed.


A brief summary of the climate plan’s short-term goals:

The university has also set interim goals of 50% and 75% GHG emissions reductions by 2030 and 2040, respectively. These goals are to be met through the implementation of energy conservation measures, investment in renewable energy, and education and outreach efforts.
