A brief description of how the institution meets the criteria:
The university issues a quarterly report on purchases made from State of Ohio MBE and EDGE businesses. Departments can access the reporting system and see how they are doing with these type of purchases. We have a membership in an organization that will work with departments to increase these purchases. Departments can access a web site to find certified MBE and EDGE companies. We issue some bids as set-aside for these companies, and have some contracts that require an historically underutilized business component. All bids state our goal is to utilize these companies and ask bidders to tell us how they are going to help us do this.
