In 2011, Ohio State asked incoming freshmen to read 'No Impact Man' by Carl Beavan. Ohio State also organized many activities and events that highlighted the sustainability theme. One week was No Impact Week which featured a heavier concentration of events. Although the book reading was targeted for new students – some events had sophomore, junior, and senior attendees.
