A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:

The Multi-Cultural Leadership Training & IMANI Scholars:

2012-2013: Multi-Cultural Student Leadership 101 (3 hours) & 102 (2 hours):
Multi-culturalism: Identifying, Confronting and Addressing the ism’s & Leadership:
"The Five Core Disciplines Of Leadership.“ This workshop is designed to allow the participants the opportunity to address and confront the ism’s (racism, religionism, sexism and classism) and to move towards solutions to inclusivity. The leadership component is designed to assist young people in building life skills competencies, in an effort to prepare them for the workforce & financial stability through economic development; active citizenship through political development; reaching inner balance through spiritual development; cultivating self-improvement through educational development and attaining positive cultural growth through social development. It moves the young person out of the realm of ego leadership into humble self-improvement leadership.
