The campus developed a comprehensive 15-year energy conservation and sustainability initiative in 2008. Starting with the baseline year of 2004, the primary goal was to reduce total energy consumption (kbtu/SF) by 20% by 2014. Through strategies outlined in the plan, the campus was able to exceed the 20% goal ahead of schedule.
