A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
A letter was drafted to the regional campuses as follows; This survey includes a series of questions about your knowledge of environmental, social, and economic issues as well as questions about your transportation habits. Your participation is voluntary and anonymous. By completing this survey, you will be assisting the university in assessing two aspects of sustainability: Part 1 will consist of transportation-related questions to assess travel choices made by faculty, staff, and students; and Part 2 will be questions to assess “Sustainability Literacy” of your campus. The answers from both part 1 and 2 of this survey will be used in the update of your campuses AASHE STARS submittal and part 1 will additionally be used to complete a Carbon Footprint for your location to be used in measuring our progress in our university Sustainability Goals. If you have questions about the survey, please send an email to recycle@osu.edu. Please take a few minutes to complete the following survey and as always, GO BUCKS! This lead into a survey using Qualtrics asking several questions on their commuting behavior to baseline and tabulate data.
