Buckeye Wellness Innovators champion university-wide wellness initiatives in their units or departments and advance the One University Health and Wellness strategic plan. Buckeye Wellness offer solutions for a healthy life base on the 9 dimensions of wellness: spiritual, physical, emotional, social environmental, creative, career, financial, and intellectual.

Employee educators are self-selected or nominated for the role. The role is voluntary, and all participants must have approval from their supervisor to participate.


A brief description of the formal training that the employee educators receive to prepare them to conduct peer outreach:

A 4-hour orientation that presents overall university strategies, followed by operational attributes at the university that support Innovators in their role.


A brief description of the financial and/or administrative support the institution provides to the program (e.g. annual budget and/or paid faculty/staff coordination):

A program director facilitates the program under the direction of the University Chief Wellness Officer. Funds are supplied annually to support the program
