The campus of Ohio State Mansfield comprises 640 acres, much of which is forest and wetlands. In May 2014 and again in May 2015, students from ENR 4900.02 studied the campus in order to create a Natural Resource Management Plan for the Mansfield campus. This led to better forest management on the campus. In 2016, University Extension offered an “Ohio Woodland Stewards Program” on the Mansfield campus.
