A brief summary of the climate plan’s long-term goals:
YES, GHG emissions reduction is an integral part of our Mansfield Campus Energy Management Plan Based on a Siemen’s 2009 Energy Audit of identified projects and practices the long-term goal is to accrue a 28.5% energy savings benchmarked against similar facilities. Using the plans “Strategic – Steps To Success”; including campus energy coordinators, energy committees, energy policy development, data collections, baseline and action planning. Energy projects are identified and compete in the State Capital biennially budget process. The Mansfield Campus Framework (Master) Plan completed in March 2013 incorporates energy philosophy into facilities planning for the next 50 years.

The primary short-term goal was to meet State of Ohio HB251 energy efficiency requirements enacted in January 2007 mandating a 20% Improvement in (EUI) Energy Use Index (btu/sf/yr) by 2014 (from 2004 baseline).

Year the strategic plan or equivalent was completed or adopted: The Mansfield Campus Energy Management Plan was adopted by the local Mansfield Campus Board of Trustee in December 2008 and is updated with the Board annual each December.
