Baltimore AASHE STARS 2016; Tom Reeves; During the trip to Baltimore, eight elite student representatives of The Ohio State University accompanied Tom Reeves and Austin Simon as a strategic effort to collect sustainability information to bring back and disseminate to the entire university student body. At the conference, Tom Reeves and Austin Simon presented on this project to the body of conference attendees as to the measurable goals that have been seen in years past funding students to be able to attend the conference.

Association of Ohio Recyclers; Tony Gillund, The Sustainability Manager in Energy Services and Sustainability is a member on the Board for the Association of Ohio Recyclers. Tasks as a member include the ongoing pursuit of waste reduction, reuse, and recycling. The AOR Board is responsible for implementing a Strategic Plan to carry out Mission, programs, projects, and activities of the AOR.

Ohio Sustainability Professionals, Annual Meeting at Denison
The Ohio Sustainability Professionals attempts to meet annually as an opportunity for sustainability professionals from colleges and universities around the state of Ohio to gather and discuss successes and challenges with their respective sustainability efforts. For the 2017 Annual meeting held in January, the larger group discussions were focused on Carbon Footprint Tracking and Mitigation Strategies, Sustainable Purchasing and Procurement, and Power Purchase Agreements, whereas the smaller breakout group discussions allowed for a wide variety of topics on struggles and successes including Student Engagement/Communication and Town & Gown Relationships and Initiatives.
