The Lima Aggies - Ag and non- Ag majors interested in Agricultural activities. The club provides an opportunity for students on campus to get engaged with agriculture as well as educate the area about agriculture. They hold agricultural events on campus, educating Lima and area counties, service projects, and meet with Columbus agricultural students.

The community garden was created this past summer by the Lima Aggies Student Club and community members. There are seven different plots each with its own theme. There is a vegetable garden, Ohio State themed garden, a Rhodes State Themed garden, a flower garden, an indigenous plant garden, and indigenous rock garden, and a handicap-accessible garden.

Illinois-based artist Michael Noland opened his show, A Map of the World, in the Farmer Family Gallery in Reed Hall at The Ohio State University at Lima on Thur., Jan. 19, 2017.

The Ohio State University chose "The Other Wes Moore" by Wes Moore as their Common Book for 2016. All incoming freshmen on all Ohio State campuses read the same book over summer 2016, as part of the First Year Experience and to create a sense of unity and mutual learning among Ohio State entities statewide. In 2015, the book was "The Good Food Revolution" by Will Allen.
