A brief description of the assessment(s):
The university is in the process of integrating assessment of diversity and inclusion in the university strategic planning process. Previously, there was a separate, annual Diversity Action Plan reporting process. In the current process, each reporting unit submits a strategic plan and a set of strategic indicators measuring progress. The plans and scorecards are reviewed annually by key stakeholder groups, including the Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion and the Faculty Senate Diversity Committee.

A brief description of how the results of the assessment(s) are used in shaping policy, programs, and initiatives:
Reviewer feedback is provided to the Provost for use in annual performance reviews. The diversity and inclusion review team will follow up with individual reporting units to assist in implementing recommendations, developing new programs or enhancing current efforts, as needed.
The Ohio State University (including the regional campuses) continually assesses (formally and informally) its diversity culture.
In the past, there was an Annual Diversity Report which captured the diversity and the subsequent equity on campus and it is my understanding that Ohio State Columbus now manages much of the data based on a variety of reporting mechanisms that demonstrate the diversity or lack thereof on the campus. So, the assessment is taking place, but we have not been officially notified of any results.
As previously stated, it’s been a number of years since a formal assessment has been required. To that end, since we have not been required to submit an official Annual Diversity Report, we have not received any official results.
