A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the inventory:
Sustainability courses were selected for the inventory by The Ohio State University at Lima Associate Dean’s Office administrative staff and the Office of Energy Services & Sustainability personnel. The course offerings are for one year: academic year 2012-2013. A subset of courses was generated by selecting courses offered at the Ohio State Lima campus which contained one of a number of relevant keywords in the course title, description or goals. The list was further refined by analysis of the course description and objectives according to the AASHE STARS Technical Manual version 1.2 definitions for sustainability-focused and sustainability-related courses.
