"-Safety audits of high-risk areas (such as science labs, shops, & making areas) are conducted periodically to identify potential safety hazards and check compliance with environmental health and safety rules and regulations. These audits are normally done jointly with the area supervisors to facilitate participation and accountability.
-Accident investigations are conducted for reported injuries and illnesses, and recommendations are made to remediate the identified causes.
-Safety policies are published on the Environmental Health & Safety website. EH&S staff assists departments in developing safety rules and/or safe work practices as needed.
-Employees are trained on topics relevant to their duties, and the hazards in their workplaces. "
