A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
A survey was deployed during the 2017/2018 academic school year. Roughly 2,500 responses were received of the 11,000 invitations (23% response rate). The survey indicated that only 2.2% of students use a single-passenger vehicle to commute to school (e.g. personal vehicle, hired car service, or taxi). The dominant means of commuting are public transport (67%) or walking (29%).
