A brief description of the pre-consumer food waste composting program:
All dining services personnel are trained on proper segregation and disposal of compost waste. This organic waste is collected by the waste hauler contracted by The New School. This waste is sent to a commercial composting facility. Further, operational programs are in place to minimize organic waste.
