Excerpt from the Request for Proposals 2010-11 sent to faculty to develop new courses around issues of sustainability: The Parsons Committee on Sustainability has been charged with: > enhancing the ecological literacy of all Parsons graduates > increasing the number of sustainability-focused and –related courses at Parsons > developing a Sustainable Design minor To this end, the Committee has $12,000 to contribute toward the development of new ecological sustainability courses or course materials. We invite faculty from across the New School to submit expressions of interest as per the attached form. Preference will be given to courses that service not-just-majors in distinct BFA programs. Also desirable are proposals for courses that collaborate with faculty from divisions outside Parsons.

Funding could be used for classroom equipment and software purchase, course materials purchasing and preparation, Research Assistance.
