A brief description of the program:
Lang Outdoors, a program within the Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts, offers a variety of courses to engage students with the urban environment in active, hands-on ways. In addition to physical activity, each course offers the chance to explore political, cultural and environmental issues. Courses focus on such areas as: urban cycling, sustainable gardening, urban park exploration, boat building and marathon training.
The Office of Recreation also organizes day hiking trips, outdoor rock climbing, skiing, orienteering and other outdoor activities for students.
