The New School Green Fund provides financial support for projects as well as student research each year. The Green Fund 2010 Library Archive of research presentations (as well as projects) was posted online in FY11 (and each funding cycle will be posted thereafter). The New School's food service provider, Chartwells, posts signs at all dining locations, highlighting food that is sourced locally and when available: eggs that are cage-free, coffee that is fair-trade certified, seafood that is responsibly sourced based on the Sustainable Ocean Partnership with Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch, milk that is rBGH free and meat that is produced without the routine use of antibiotics. There are also signs informing students that all utensils, plates and cups are compostable, how to separate waste at each location into landfill, recycling and compost bins, and about discounts for bringing a reusable coffee mug.

The New School's "Little Green Book" was developed by the Office for Student Housing and Facilities Management. This wiki guide is divided up into sections that reflect everyday life for continuing students and first-time freshmen living in the university's residences, from moving to and living in New York City to cooking. New students receive the link at the start of the year.
