Narrative outlining the data collection process used in the preparation of this report:
For each criteria, I looked closely at what data needed to be reported, then contacted the appropriate campus personnel to obtain the necessary information. When it was unclear who on campus would have the necessary data, I asked around to find the best person. When data was unclear, I asked clarifying questions to make sure our data quality was reliable. When in doubt, I erred on the conservative side. I did not report on several criteria that we might have qualified for, either because the data was too difficult to obtain or the responses I received did not provide a clear indication that we would qualify under the listed STARS criteria.
After clarifying any outsanding questions and verifying for data quality, I added the information directly to the report builder in STARS.

One student, Kenzie Morris, was involved in collecting and processing data for AC 1.1 and 6.1 and for OP 4.2.
For AC 1.1 and 6.1, the student reviewed all course listings and all research in our Open Works database to identify courses and research focused on sustainability, then cataloged this into a spreadsheet. This data was reviewed by the Director of Campus Sustainability.
For OP 4.2 this student, who is experiened with GIS, used Google Earth to measure tree cover and managed green space on campus.
Description of the internal data quality controls used in the preparation of this report:
The data were reviewed multiple times to check for any errors. Whenever data was questionable it was either excluded or double-checked for accuracy. We always erred on a conservative side.
