We have instituted a program called Reuzzi which replaces all disposable to-go containers with reusable to-go containers.  It is an app-based system with built-in accountability, so the system knows which container is connected to which student, meaning students can be held accountable for lost or damaged containers.  Containers are returned to designated drop-off locations, where they are collected, cleaned, and returned to the supply.

We use the same system for mugs in the cafes on campus, though it is still optional in the cafes.

Has the institution eliminated the on-site sales and distribution of all single-use disposable plastic food containers, utensils, and beverage cups?:

In addition to the Reuzzi program, which has completely eliminated single-use disposable plastic to-go containers, we have also eliminated all styrofoam and single-use plastic bags.

The IT department collects e-waste from employees and students.  They collect all e-waste except CRT monitors and tube TV's.  E-waste is sent to

We produce a very small quantity of hazardous waste.  We have two permits (one for science and one for the facilities building).   We only pick up twice a year.
