Pre-consumer and post-consumer food waste from the dining hall is collected throughout the main dining hall kitchen and delivered weekly to a local compost facility.
Coffee grounds in the cafes are composted in the campus garden.

Post-consumer food waste is collected by way of the dining hall conveyor and pulper, and delivered daily to the local compost facility along with the pre-consumer food waste

Dining Services tracks the amount of material sent to a local composting facility in terms of total pounds. This is captured on a daily basis.
