6.1 Sustainability-focused community partnerships

Does the institution have at least one community partnership that is sustainability-focused?:
Yes

Narrative and/or website URL providing an overview of the institution’s sustainability-focused community partnerships:

The Wooster Faith & Sustainability Network is a collaborative partnership between the College of Wooster’s Sustainability Office & local faith-based organizations. The goal of this partnership is to share resources & knowledge, provide educational opportunities, and to support the planning & implementation of sustainability-focused projects with clergy & congregations. This is an interfaith, non-denominational network. We seek to provide an open, welcoming environment for people of various faith traditions to engage in sustainability work.  The College of Wooster’s Sustainability Office will serve as the educational hub for the WFSN by providing educational materials, resources, tools, training, and support for implementing sustainability and creation care projects within your faith organizations.

This network, which has only just been launched in fall 2024, is a collaboration between The College of Wooster's sustainability office and local faith-based organizations.  Religious groups join the network by committing to take part in network activities, and the college's sustainability office provides them with resources, training, expertise, and assistance with incorporating sustainability into their organization's activities.
