Yes. New students attend the ARCH orientation during the summer, where the sustainability office is represented at a resource fair. We also education about recycling during ARCH.
When students arrive to campus for New Student Orientation, their welcome folder contains information about sustainability programs.

We conducted a food waste reduction competition during spring 2024. Students were challenged to reduce collective food waste by half over a 5-week time period. A group of students from the Environmental Psychology class helped plan and coordinate the event, which included informational signage and volunteers who helped weigh food waste.

Our Instagram account has 434 followers. Following a conservative approach, we estimate that approximately 75% of those are current students (the account has only been active for one year, so not many former students) = approximately 325 students or 17% of the student population.
