A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:

The University has a Capital Bikeshare station on campus. Capital Bikeshare puts more than 3,000 bicycles at the campus community's fingertips. Capital Bikes are accessible at 500 stations and counting across Washington, DC. Students are eligible to register for discounted annual Capital Bikeshare memberships for $25.

A brief description of the car sharing program:

ZipCar is a convenient car-sharing service available on campus. Faculty, staff, students, and alumni of Catholic University who join a ZipCar membership are waived the $25 dollar application fee when they join with the University. Registering with the University also reduces the cost of the annual membership fee to $15 (a $55 discount).

The University has two Level 2 electric vehicle recharging stations. One is located at McMahon parking lot and another is located at the O'Boyle Parking lot.

Campus Shuttle: On weekdays, the campus shuttle runs a dedicated route from the Brookland-CUA Metro station to individual campus buildings from 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

incenTrip: Catholic U is participating in a commuter incentives program for employees. This program, developed by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ (MWCOG) Commuter Connections, involves logging your commute to and from work to earn rewards. Earn eco-points for using public transit, carpooling, vanpooling, walking, or bicycling. Redeem your earned points for cash payments.

SmartBenefits for Catholic University Faculty and Staff: The University participates in the Washington Metropolitan Area's Transit Authority (WMATA)’s SmartBenefits® program. Employees who participate in the SmartBenefits® program can elect to have up to $255 per month withheld for transit and $255 per month withheld for parking, pre-tax.
