Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
The Climate Change and the Future of Work Conference Networking Fair

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
On April 22, 2022, Catholic University hosted a conference on the impact that a changing global climate will have on work and careers throughout the 21st century. This is part of the University’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship as part of its recent 5-year sustainability plan. Building on themes addressed by Pope Francis in his encyclical Laudato Si’, the conference featured speakers from government, industry, universities, and the nonprofit sector and provided a forum to engage our students as they prepare to take their places in a professional world adapting to a changing climate. As part of the conference, students organized a networking fair with over two dozen organizations represented. Organizations included those within the sustainability field as well as those outside of the sustainability field but who are addressing climate change in their operations. The goal of the networking fair was to provide students with the opportunity to speak with a variety of organizations to hear directly from them about how they are being impacted by climate change.
