Yes

A brief description of steps taken to reduce hazardous, special (e.g. coal ash), universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:

The College ensures that all chemical wastes generated by the laboratories , including biological specimens are disposed of in accordance to Sustainable and environmental Practices.Furthermore through guidelines issued by the corresponding departments in case of hazardous chemicals being used for research and/or teaching, the volumes and quantities are restricted to a minimum in order to prevent wastage.

Through Chemical Disposal Contractors and Services.

Chemicals for use in the laboratory/field activities have been monitored and are inventoried for purchasing and disposal purposes for each laboratory specifically.

All electronic materials which are deemed obsolete but functional is donated through various channels including our collaborating NGOs and municipal services in order to be re-used. Materials which can not be useful are processed for recycling by a third-party contractor specializing in proper disposal.
