A brief description of the employee educators program (1st program):
The Senior Manager for Sustainability, and the staff of the Office of Operations have received primarily in -house training by ACG ES professors on specific sustainability-related topics that will assist them in making ACG operations more sustainable and for the ACG members to adopt more sustainable practices. Also, the set employees have received targeted trainings and certifications by organizations eligible for trainings. Indicatively, The Sustainability Manager has received certifications on Business sustainability management, GHG emissions, and energy efficiency, Social Impact and Social Return on Investment etc. Additionally, the personnel of Technical Services has received certifications on buildings and energy efficiency. Then as a next step, they are obliged to inform the personnel of their offices and other employees of the college to put in practice all set procedures and guidelines taught in these trainings. The ultimate goal is to educate all ACG employees to perform sustainably through their daily tasks and operations eg. how to recycle properly, how to be more energy-efficient at the office. For example, such training is addressed to the staff of the Events department in following set guidelines in order for our events to be more sustainable in terms of energy efficiency, food waste, minimization of paper waste etc. or the staff of athletics in organizing more sustainable athletic events.
