A brief description of how and when the cultural assessment(s) were developed and/or adopted:

This survey is being conducted to assess specific beliefs, and practices among all members of the ACG Community (students, faculty and administration), as well as to help us plan future actions. The initial survey was designed and adopted in the fall of 2015 with the goal of being offered bi-annually to the ACG community. A follow-up assessment was adopted in the fall of 2017, again in Fall 2019 and in Fall 2022

A brief description of how representative samples were reached (if applicable) and how the cultural assessment is administered:

We have used a survey builder platform to prepare, administer the survey and measure its results. The assessment was delivered via email to the recipients who logged in with a personalized link and were led to the survey.

A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment:

Below you can find a sample of results from the assessment:
35% stated that they actively recycle waste on campus- 3% sometimes. (2019, 57.82%, 32.68%)
34% stated that they always try to minimize their impact on campus – 8% sometimes (2019, 67.88%, 27.93% )
23% stated that they always walk, cycle or use public transport as a frequent mode of travel – 5% sometimes (2019, 48,6%, 23.74%)
In this survey we witnessed a great increase in regards to the awareness of our campaigns like recycling, #ACGGoesPlasticFree compared to other projects.
The initiative that showcased the most participation of our members is the elimination of plastics on campus and they declared that they minimized it (over 90%)
In this survey we used a 9-point scale in the questions above in order to have a more concrete feedback.

It is interesting to highlight that COVID and the lockdown affected greatly the sustainability culture of our members.
