A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :

During the new student/transfer student as well as new graduate students orientation which is held within the same time frame, there are extensive verbal and documented references on institution's efforts and commitment to sustainability, the Office of Public Affairs through the Center of Excellence for Sustainability, with special reference to the most prominent campus sustainable development applications & achievements.
During orientation, more specifically students are informed about the:
1. Concept of sustainability
2. ACG’s sustainability raising - awareness campaigns
3. Community Contribution Initiatives
5. ACG Sustainability Leaders, a student organization that aims to promote sustainability awareness on campus among peers and all members of ACG
Also, in the orientation campus tour sustainability points are also included i.e. new top notch hydration stations, recycling points, ACG Community Garden, Green roofs etc.
Participation in New Student Orientation is required of all new undergraduates/transfer/study abroad and graduate students.
