The Sustainability Arc
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
The Center of Excellence for Sustainability at the office of Public Affairs in cooperation with the department of Environmental Studies and Biology faculty have embarked on a conservation project to store, preserve and study genetic material from endangered species both on a national level as well in cooperation with the conservation park Attiko Zoologiko Parko from international sources. Currently the "Arc" hosts DNA and gametes and preserves the material in a secure environment in liquid Nitrogen.
