Following the water flooding incidences in our community through ACG suggestions/research and guidelines the College funded and completed a rainwater connection to the Aghia Paraskevi system to dramatically reduce street flooding.On October 23, ACG received an award from Mayor Ioannis Stathopoulos acknowledging this community contribution.

Tobacco Cessation Guidelines for high- risk populations: The TOB.g project and the respective book (Tobacco Cessation Guidelines for high- risk populations) produced in the frame of this project, represent the first innovative action towards the scientific application of an individualized therapeutic approach in tobacco cessation in Europe. Panhellenic Survey on the implementation of the smoking ban law - June 2017. The Director of the Institute of Public Health- ACG Prof. Behrakis, submitted the study results to the Minister of Health with the request to implement the smoking ban law.

Joint Action on Tobacco Control project: The main aim of this program is the implementation of the Tobacco Product Directive in the European Union. Greece was elected as the Project Coordinator , represented by P.K. Behrakis :Coordinator, Constantine Vardavas and Anna Tzortzi: Associate Coordinators, Dimitri Kagkos :Project Manager, Penelope Stambouli: Secretariat and Commmunications Coordinator. Račinska, I., Baratt. L., and Marouli, Ch. (2015). LIFE and Land Stewardship. Current status, challenges, and opportunities. Report to the European Commission.
